Hi, I’m Bereda Wako.

I turn hard workflows into useful web products—from the first interaction to a live, maintainable release.

Selected work

Complete products, real workflows.

Open the live site, inspect the source, or read the case study to see how the product was scoped, built, tested, and prepared for handoff.

Completed

A full-stack portfolio that presents verified product case studies alongside a custom admin workspace for content, appointments, mentorship records, AI-assisted opportunity discovery, and audit activity.

What I can own

From product idea to a maintainable release.

I do not start with a technology shopping list. I start with the user, the risk, and the smallest slice that can teach us something.

01
MVP definition
Turn a product idea into a small, testable first release with a clear next step for its users.
02
Frontend and product UI
Responsive interfaces that make the main workflow obvious on the first visit.
03
Backends and integrations
Typed APIs, auth, payments, messaging, AI, and third-party services with useful failure states.
04
Data and deployment
Practical schemas, migrations, environments, monitoring, and a handover path that does not depend on me.

Tools, not trophies

A stack should make the next decision easier.

I choose technology for the job in front of us: fast feedback while we learn, clear boundaries when the product grows, and a handoff another engineer can actually use.

Evidence I leave behind

A good handoff is part of the build.

Testing evidence

Show the test boundary, not a vague “production ready” badge.

Deborah links the release-readiness report, QA plan, test counts, build checks, and the remaining staging/device gaps. TenaSew links its architecture and deployment notes.

Technical writing

Document decisions so the product can outlive the sprint.

Architecture notes, deployment runbooks, route maps, security boundaries, and explicit launch gaps are part of the deliverable—not an afterthought.

Direct source

Open the repositories most relevant to the role.

The flagship learning product, marketplace frontend/backend, and wellness product are linked directly from their case studies so the implementation can be inspected.

About

The work between an idea and a working product.

I’m Bereda Wako, a full-stack product engineer based in Ethiopia. I work across the data model, API, interface, integrations, deployment, and the documentation that lets a team keep moving.

My work spans Deborah’s learning loop, Negus Gebeya’s buyer/seller flow, TenaSew’s bounded wellness experience, EthioVista’s travel discovery surface, and this portfolio platform itself. I like the details that make a workflow feel dependable: useful errors, explicit states, server-side rules, and honest release notes.

Experience

A path from teaching to building.

The products are only part of the story. Teaching, marketing, formal study, and startup leadership shaped how I understand people, systems, and the work required to make an idea useful.

Appointment

Make the next step concrete.

Choose a conversation purpose, find an available time, and bring a real product question to the table.

What would make this conversation useful?

Choose the closest fit. You can add more context at the end.

  1. 1Context

  3. 3Time

Your preference is shared with the host. The confirmed calendar setup determines the meeting link.

Next step

Tell me about your project.

Share the product idea, the people it is for, and the workflow that is currently hard. I’ll help turn that into a discovery conversation, a scoped MVP, and a practical proposal.

  1. 01Discover. Clarify users, constraints, integrations, and what success should look like.
  2. 02Scope. Separate the smallest useful release from later bets and risks.
  3. 03Propose. Receive deliverables, a rough timeline, architecture choice, and next decision—not a fixed price pulled from thin air.
